CELTIC DNA JEWELRY, THE ESSENCE OF YOUR ANCESTRY.

Celtic DNA Jewelry Ireland

Dia duit, (That’s ‘hello‘ in old Irish)

My name is Stuart and I’m an Irish jewelry designer based in Dublin, Ireland. I started designing jewelry at the age of 14. I always try to tell a story with each piece. The Celtic DNA Jewelry Collection embodies the ultimate symbol of Irish and Scottish heritage. This collection is a celebration of Celtic culture and ancestry.

Before designing jewelry, I enjoyed successful career as a master sculptor restoring historical architecture and monuments in Ireland incorporating ornamentation, typography and symbolism.

After a serious accident, I could no longer work on a large scale with stone so moved into product design in the jewelry industry. This influenced me to follow my true passion, designing jewelry based on the principals and craftsmanship learnt through sculpture which is when I started Celtic DNA Jewelry. My pieces retain much of the distinctive sculptural characteristics of form, weight, finesse and a tactile nature. “I believe that there is a synergy to creating any work of art, on one side you need an understanding of the materials and technical element of craftsmanship which in turn influences the design process. These two elements should balance the development creating a circle of progression, craft informs design and design pushing the material.”

In recent years I’ve enjoyed working for various companies including: Riverdance, Pauric Sweeney, Tipperary Crystal, ShanOre Jewelry as well as other European fashion houses.

I enjoy designing pieces that incorporate landscape and nature often featuring symbolism fused with considered aesthetic balance. Inspired by our heritage, culture and history, I create pieces that narrate a story capturing the spirit of the Celts and our diaspora using our ancient symbols of the Claddagh Ring, Trinity Knot and the Tree of Life.

Thanks for taking the time to learn more about me and the Celtic jewelry designs I work on. Feel free to browse the website further and send me any questions or special requests you might have.

Slán, (that’s ‘goodbye‘ in old Irish)
